Clinical Branches' roots lie with the Open Source Antimicrobial Stewardship Project. Which was a collective project to build and share sets of antimicrobial prescribing decision support pathways.

Building on this, Clinical Branches comes with both a free tier and a paid tier to improve antimicrobial stewardship and to guide prescribing for other disease states.

The tool has been built to enable appropriate and considered choices quickly as a way to drive behaviour change, and boasts an average of 48.1 seconds pathway completion time.
